Submission Guidelines

Submissions:

Finalists will be selected based on their one page Executive Summary and their 3-5 minute YouTube video submissions.

 

Best Engineered Game

Details of the Best Engineered Game award:

To be eligible for the Best Engineered Game Award, teams must submit AT LEAST THREE versions of the Game Overview form ñ early in development, during development and upon final submission. The dates on the forms must show they were filled out at different times during the development. All three forms may be submitted along with the url of the YouTube Video.

More versions are better, because it shows periodic planning and updated plans.

To be eligible for the Best Engineered Game Award, the team must have at least 3 members.

The team must be among the top ten finalists for the Best Video Game Award.

 

Recommendations if a team intends to compete for Best Engineered Game Award:

When provided the name of the coach/mentor and email, contact that person to communicate team plans

Coach/mentor will work with your team and may request the forms from the team at specific times during development. Your forms could refer to supplemental plans and schedules which can be submitted also. The supplemental information will not contribute to the game competition but will be considered in the Best Engineered Game Award.

Team may compete without having a coach/mentor if at least 3 forms are submitted.

 

Best Engineered Game Awards will include:

Award Trophies: one for winning college team, one for winning high school team

Other awards to be announced the day of the finals, June 10, 2017
